MicksGarage.com, Ireland’s largest online retailer of car parts and accessories, has won the Gold Award in the Entrepreneurial category at the
European eCommerce Awards which took place in Barcelona last night.
According to the organisers, the Entrepreneurial Award, which had 11 competing countries, recognises ‘the e-commerce actors who have the most innovative, groundbreaking, smart, game-changing operations in Europe’. Other Gold Award Winners at the awards were ASOS, which took the Pure Player Award and SuitSupply, chosen for the Omnichannel Award.

Launched ten years ago, MicksGarage has grown to become an €11 million turnover company employing 48 people in a 40,000sq ft premises in Dublin’s Park West. The website, which was also awarded a Golden Spider Award for Best Retail Website in 2007, has 5.6 million unique product listings and the company ships 18,000 orders a month to 70 countries.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny has paid tribute to the MicksGarage team: “Ireland continues to compete effectively on the global stage and E-commerce is becoming a particular strength for businesses here. The European eCommerce Awards are run by the Global E-commerce Summit and Ecommerce Europe. Award jury members are professional experts with knowledge and experience in the field of cross-border e-commerce. Jury members have an international outlook and experience and are seen as an authority in their own country.
