Mannol Anticor: Anti-Corrosion and Anti-Gravel Underbody Protection
Anticor is a high-performance liquid underbody coating that offers superior protection against corrosion, gravel impacts, and the elements. Made with synthetic resins and rubbers, it provides a durable, elastic barrier for both the exterior and interior surfaces of your car.
Key Benefits:
- Double Protection: Shields your car from rust-causing road salt, de-icing agents, and environmental factors. Also protects against scratches from flying gravel and debris.
- Stops Existing Rust: Passivation properties help slow down any corrosion that's already begun.
- Tough and Flexible Film: Forms a strong, elastic coating that resists mechanical impact, moisture, salt, acids, and alkalis. Self-leveling properties prevent smudging and scratches tend to self-heal.
- Waterproofing: Effectively penetrates cracks and crevices, displacing water and creating a waterproof seal.
- Excellent Adhesion: Bonds securely even to smooth, non-porous surfaces. Maintains adhesion at high temperatures.
- Safe on Various Materials: Compatible with metals, plastics, rubbers, and paint coatings.
- Cold Weather Performance: Remains flexible and crack-resistant in extremely low temperatures.
- Noise Reduction: Provides sound-deadening and vibration-dampening properties for a quieter ride.
- Fast Drying: Dries quickly, with full properties achieved after complete curing.
Applications:
- Underbody (exterior)
- Wheel arches
- Fenders
- Wings
- Aprons
- Lower door thresholds
- Internal surfaces of hood, doors, and body amplifiers (for professional repairs)
- New body panels (interior)
- Trunks (interior)
Before Applying:
- Thoroughly clean the surface to remove rust, dirt, dust, grease, oil, and any other contaminants. Consider using Mannol Brake Cleaner (9691) for degreasing.
- Apply the product at room temperature for best results.
Application:
- Shake the container well.
- Use a spray gun with a compressor set between 2-8 bar (depending on desired spray fineness).
- Spray a thin layer (up to 1.5mm) from a distance of 20-30cm from the surface.
- For optimal protection, repeat the spraying process 1-2 times after a short drying period (1-2 minutes). Apply in crosswise motions for even coverage.
- Allow the coating to dry for 1-2 hours before the car is ready to move again. Full cure takes 12-24 hours.
Note: A thicker coating offers increased abrasion and corrosion resistance.
