A vehicle is only as good as the components that it uses. With Apec, those components are built to OE specifications to guarantee the performance customers and installers expect with a unique aftermarket twist.
Brake pads are an essential part of any vehicle's braking system, providing the necessary friction required to slow or stop your car. Brake pads come in many different types, it is important to select the appropriate type for your car based off its driving conditions and environment. Regular replacement of brake pads is necessary to ensure optimal performance and safety when driving—so always make sure you check your brakes regularly for wear and tear. If you are unsure if your pads need replacing, brake pad wear levels can be quickly and easily measured using a ruler. Simply place the ruler across the brake pad, with one end of the ruler flush to the surface of the rotor. Then measure and note the thickness of the brake pad, which should be somewhere between 3mm and 5mm in most vehicles. Anything less than 3mm indicates that it is time to replace your brake pads.
Designed to serve as direct replacements for OE parts, Apec Brake Pads meet and exceed R90 standards of production to promise superior performance, easier bedding-in and increased longevity. Precision-made and extensively tested in Europe, Apec Pads secure better quality at better prices. All pads are covered by APEC's 3Y36K guarantee, giving you the peace of mind to experience the joys of seamless, efficient braking. Apec Pads are manufactured using a premium-grade High-Pressure Treatment (HPT) scorching process at no additional cost to the consumer. By applying a pressure of 10,000 Nm at temperatures of 650ºC, ensures that the entire surface of pads are cured to a depth of 2mm. This prevents the crystallisation of the friction materials used in the pads for long-lasting performance that remains resistant even in the most extreme environments, provides an improved initial pedal feel and reduces bedding in time.
